  Sankofa Church primarily addresses the needs of the African American

  community and persons of African descent throughout the world.

  All of God's children are invited, encouraged and welcomed to

  worship with our Christian family, and any and everyone in need is our

  neighbor.  Heavy  emphasis is placed on continuing the struggle and 

  foundation laid by our forefathers and mothers, the status and calling of the  

  priesthood/clergy, the importance and role of elders in nation building and

  community living, and the preservation of the family. Children are divine

  creations of God and should be nurtured, taught and spoken to as the present

  and future nations.
